FAQ
-
Can I connect my 127V shower to 220V?
No. The product’s resistance will burn out instantly.
-
Can I connect my 220V shower to 127V?
No, because the product would work with only 25% of its power.
-
The product does not start after opening the valve
If the circuit breaker is off: turn on the circuit breaker – If the selector is in the “off” position: turn the selector to one of the available powers – Insufficient hydraulic pressure or reducer installed unnecessarily: check if the hydraulic pressure is at least 1.0 mca and remove the reducer, if installed.
-
Product is not getting hot enough even when maximum power is selected
Poorly dimensioned electrical circuit wiring: check if the section of the conductors used meet the product specifications. In case of doubt, consult an electrical professional. Low voltage value: It is necessary to measure the voltage at the point of use of the product with the aid of a voltmeter. With the appliance turned off, the voltage should be approximately 127V or 220V. If the voltage is far below these values and the conductors in the circuit are well sized, it is necessary to notify your local power company. – High water flow: Gradually close the register, reducing the water flow, thus enabling better heating.
-
What happens if the shower cable does not reach the electrical cables of my installation?
Enerbras shower cables were designed so that the splice/connector is housed inside the electrical box located 13cm above the product’s hydraulic connection. If the cable length is not enough for the connection, your electrical box is too far from the recommended length. In this case it will be necessary to make the splice/connection outside the electrical box.
-
Is the small hole on the side of the shower a defect?
No. This hole is a safety drain for water condensation inside the product.
-
Can I enlarge the shower head's holes?
No. The holes were dimensioned to guarantee a shower with flow and pressure adequate to the product’s operation. Any alteration in the holes may compromise the product’s operation. Check if it is necessary to clean the air diffuser to solve the problem.
-
How to clean the Spreader?
Use a soft-bristled brush and plenty of water. A sponge can help. Do not use needles, as they may permanently damage it.
-
Can I use the Enerbras shower arm with other brands of showers?

-
How to change the heating element?
Just follow the procedures in the manual for changing the resistance that comes with the product.
-
Can I replace the shower heater with a lower power one?
Yes, but the heating will be according to the chosen power.
-
When connecting the shower, which is the neutral wire and which is the phase wire?
The shower is not polarized, therefore the connection sequence does not compromise its operation. The only requirement is that the ground wire be connected to the green conductor, as identified on the product.
-
What is the difference between circuit breaker, RCD, and SPD?
Circuit breaker: protects electrical installations against overload and short circuit. – RCD: prevents people and animals from getting electric shocks and protects property against fires originating from faults in the electrical installation. – SPD: deviates, to the grounding mesh, the electric current generated by voltage surges, such as: lightning, switching circuits, or maneuvering operations in the transformers of the local electric power utility.
-
The circuit breaker is constantly tripping. Can I replace it with one with a higher value?
No. First of all it is necessary to check what is happening to cause the trip, because some equipment might be short-circuited or overloading. Each section (gauge) of cable must be protected by a circuit-breaker of equivalent rated current. If the circuit breaker is replaced with a higher value, the conductors will be overloaded and become very hot, which can cause accidents.
-
Can I use a Bipolar or Tripolar circuit breaker to interrupt only one phase (single-phase circuit) or the Tripolar to interrupt only two phases (two-phase circuit)?
Yes, each pole of the circuit breaker has thermal and magnetic triggers, ensuring protection of the conductor.
-
Can I use a Tetrapolar RCD to interrupt only three conductors?
Yes, provided that the Neutral (where applicable) is connected to the pole marked N. The phases should be connected to poles 5/6 and 3/4, leaving out pole 1/2, otherwise the test button will not work.
-
Can I use a Tetrapolar RCD to interrupt only two conductors?
Yes, provided that the Neutral (if any) is connected to the pole marked N. Phase should be connected to pole 5/6, otherwise the test button will not work.
-
Does the circuit breaker protect electronic equipment?
No. The function of the circuit breaker is the protection of the conductors. The protection of electronic equipment is the function of the SPD.
-
Why are the Enerbras circuit breakers above 63A not INMETRO certified?
Because the INMETRO Directive 348/2007 requires compulsory certification for circuit breakers up to 63A. Even though they are not covered by the Ordinance, circuit breakers above 63A meet the same quality and safety requirements as certified products.
-
What is the difference between a 30mA and 300mA RCD?
RCD with a sensitivity current of 30mA is recommended for the protection of people and animals, since it is considered highly sensitive. RCDs with sensitivity current of 300mA (low sensitivity) are recommended for the protection of buildings, against fire principles caused by electrical failure.
-
My panel's RCD trips when there is a lightning strike. What can be happening?
There must be an SPD (Surge Protection Device) installed downstream (after) your RCD. Replace the SPD upstream (before) the RCD.
-
Is it possible to put a NEMA circuit breaker inside the Enerbras switchboard?
Unfortunately no. Enerbras switchboards only house DIN rail devices.
-
Is it possible to use the comb busbar for circuit breakers above 63A?
No. BP63-E busbars are designed for circuit-breakers up to 63A, whose pole is 18mm wide.
-
How to install an RCD?
The RCD current rating must be greater than or equal to that of the circuit breaker; The circuit breaker must be upstream (before) the RCD; All of the circuit conductors, including the Neutral, must pass through the RCD. The Neutral conductor must always be connected in the pole identified with the letter N.
-
What is the difference between simple, parallel, intermediate, and bipolar switches?
Simple switch: commands a load through the On/Off maneuver of a single key. – Parallel switch: allows the command of a load through the On/Off maneuver of two distinct keys, where one alternates the state of the other. – Intermediate Switch: The intermediate switch can be installed between two parallel switches (as many as necessary), enabling more command options for a load. – Bipolar Switch: They maneuver loads fed by two phases. Example: 220V Phase-Phase lighting fixtures.
